The C. T. A. L. Portfolio, 1948
10 woodcuts from the T.G.P. workshop
Prologue for the portfolio:

'The Third General Congress of the Latin American Federation of Labor takes place during the very same year which marks the 10th anniversary of our organization [T. G. P.].

The first ten years of C. T. A. L. include the most important and the most dramatic period in the struggle of the proletariat of Latin America.

The officers of the Federation wish to commemorate this anniversary with the publication of a portfolio containing ten engravings which are symbolic of the role and significance, both past and present, of the C. T. A. L in the historic struggle toward progress and independence.

Because of the quality of its work and the close identification of its members with the cause of freedom, the Taller de Gráfica Popular, a collective of artists, is exemplary not only in Mexico but in the whole world; this meaningful contribution has been made possible with its generous cooperation .'

Mexico, March 1948.
