Panel 3: His grandfather, Osman * bravely died, killed by the French at Sebastopol; his father was beaten like a Young Turk,** left as an old Turk and finally killed by a Bulgarian. As for our narrator, he doesn't ask for anything, just to be left alone, but seeing a German soldier blown to bits, he murmers, "Allah be Praised"!
